Tremain Returns to Northants for 2024 Championship Kickoff

Northamptonshire have re-marked Chris Tremain, the Australia quick bowler, for the initial four rounds of next season’s Area Title.

Tremain, at present with 34 at 15.20 for New South Wales, included multiple times for Northants last season. He guaranteed 13 wickets, remembering six for the match against Middlesex – one of the club’s two successes as they were consigned from Division One.

“I’m extremely eager to be getting back to Northamptonshire in 2024,” Tremain said. “I partook in each second I enjoyed with the gathering last season, I want to believe that I can have an effect for the time I’m there and assist with establishing the vibe until the end of the Region Title.”

Northants said that UK visa limitations had kept Tremain from joining for longer, however, lead trainer John Sadler was by excited about the 32-year-old’s return.

“I’m more than happy to get Trem back energetic about us for 2024,” Sadler said. “His way of bowling is very appropriate to English circumstances so to have him secured for those initial four games is fabulous.

“He was exclusively with us for a short spell last season yet had a tremendous effect at the club on and off the field He’s in a rich vein of structure in Australia right now and ideally that proceeds when he rejoins us in April.”
