RCB Retains Star Trio: Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Deepak Dayal Set to Go on with Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB will be conceded with three right-to-match(RTM) cards at the IPL 2025 mega auction
Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal are the three players who are set to continue with Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
In the IPL 2025 mega auction, if Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) chooses to hold two capped players and one uncapped player, they will essentially lose INR 36 crore from their mega auction. Likewise, RCB will have a choice to use three right-to-match(RTM) cards in the auction, which they can utilize to repurchase one uncapped Indian player and two capped players, or three capped players.
RCB have decided not to choose some high-profile players including their 2024 season’s captain Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, and Cameron Green because RCB completed fourth in the IPL 2024 session but their journey ended after a loss in the Eliminator to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
October 31 is the finishing date for the ten franchises to present their lists of retained players to the IPL. Each team have been permitted to retain up to six players before a mega auction for the 2025 season. In the retained players, a limit of five can be capped international players, and two can be uncapped players. While the IPL has set the least deduction from the auction purse for every player retained that is as follows:
- INR 18 crore for the first player
- INR 14 crore for the second player
- INR 11 crore for the third player
- INR 18 crore for the fourth player
- INR 14 crore for the fifth player
- INR 4 crore for an uncapped player
The franchises are allowed to pay more or less than their retained players.
What is RCB?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is one of the ten establishments in the Indian Premier League(IPL). Known for their dependable fanbase and ritzy arrangements, RCB presently can’t seem to get an IPL title despite areas of strength for a few seasons. Their home ground is the M. Chinnaswamy Arena in Bengaluru, famous for its high-scoring matches because of the more modest limits and pitch leaning toward batsmen.
