Bangladesh squad for the upcoming men’s Asia Cup 2023
Bangladeshi Cricket Board announces their squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Shakib ul Hassan will lead the Bangladeshi team in Asia Cup 2023 beginning on 30th August 2023.
Shakib recently announced as the captain of the Bangladeshi Cricket team after the step down of Tamim Iqbal.
Bangladesh has introduced the untested opener Tanzid Tamim to their squad, alongside newcomer batter Shamim Hossain, who is receiving his first-ever ODI call-up.
Tanzid Tamim, a 22-year-old cricketer, has showcased his potential through three impressive half-centuries in the Emerging Asia Cup. His consistent performances have earned him this opportunity, which is particularly significant given the absence of Tamim Iqbal. Tanzid’s inclusion offers Bangladesh an alternative for the opening position.
